GOOD LASH EXTENSIONS

  • Done by Certified and Trained Eyelash Specialist.
  • Lash application is pain-free. You do not feel any discomfort.
(Unless you have extremely sensitive skin/ eye-alleriges you might not be suitable).
  • Lashes are properly isolated. (Lash By Lash)
  • Multiple lashes aren't adhered together.
  • Smooth Application of glue adhesive.
  • Lashes feel extremely light, You don't even notice they're there.
  • Can easily brush through your lash extensions.
  • During & After Lash application, Lash extensions aren't poking your eyelids.
  • All extensions are pointing in the correct direction (like the shape of a fan).

BAD LASH APPLICATION

  • Application is painful due to uncertified or not trained lash artists.
  • Multiple lashes extensions are glued together. Making them painful to brush or comb through.
  • Overuse of Adhesive resembles clumpy mascara. Lashes look stiff and unnatural.
  • Lashes are heavy and uncomfortable. You know that they're there and can feel them when you blink.
  • Lashes are stabbing your eyelids and feel like needles.
  • Extensions are pointing in multiple directions (in a messy manner).

CHOOSING THE RIGHT LASH STUDIO

More than 12 extension were applied on only 3 natural lashes.
Natural lashes dropped because it is too heavy.

  • Eyelash Specialist doing the lash extension should be profesionally trained, certified and equipped with relevant eyelash knowledge and skills.
  • There should be eyelash consultation before lash extension session, to understand your eyelash condition, allergies (if any) and design preferences.
  • Eyelash glue and extension should not touch your eyelids, as it may cause allergies to arise such as swelling of the eyelid areas.
  • Lash extensions should be applied to own individual natural lash. If extensions is added to more than one natural lash, some people might feel pain when lash is growing.
  • Extensions should not be too heavy as it will cause burden to own natural lash. When the natural lash is unable to support the weight of the extensions, it will drop prematurely.
  • Please consult the eyelash specialist for advise for suitable thickness of lash extension.
  • Salon hygiene should be good, clean and neat.
  • Safe and high grade materials should be used, including materials for sensitive eyes.
  • Beautiful and safe finish.

  • Good-spacing of 0.5~1mm away of eyelash extension application from the lash line. This is to ensure that your natural lashes is able to breathe and still grow naturally.
  • Many other salons made a mistake by placing the lash extensions too close to the lash line, resulting in lashes dropping prematurely as the roots are hindered when applied too close or at the lashline.
  • After 2-3 weeks (depends on individual body hormones, growth rate differs), the lashes will grow.  If your own natural lashes reaches the last stage (telogen), the extension and natural lash will fall off together.
  • However if your lash is still at the Anagen/Catagen stage, only the extensions will fall off as the adhesive will loses its bonding after sometime.

The Life Span & Durability of our Eyelash Extensions varies individually.

CLASSIC VS 3D VOLUME VS CLUSTER

Picture
Classic lashes- A method where 1 lash extension is glued to 1 natural lash. This method is also known as 1 to 1 or 1:1. Classic lashes are perfect for clients who already have a lot of lashes, but want to add more length. Classic lashes look more natural.

Volume (3D) lashes- When multiple lashes are applied to one single natural eyelash individually isolating one natural eyelash at a time. Using very thin lashes. If two eyelash extensions are applied to one natural lash it’s described as 2D, if three eyelash extensions are applied to one natural eyelash then it’s described as 3D etc.

This method is also known as Russian volume. The lash extensions used in this method are significantly thinner ( Usually a 0.07 diameter lash extension is used)  than the lash extensions used for the classic lash method.

Volume lashes are lighter, fluffier and give the client a fuller look. Volume lashes are prefect for clients who don't have a lot of lashes, have sparse lashes, bald spots or just want a more dramatic look without having to use a thicker lash.

CLUSTER LASHES

Here is a visual of the difference between classic and volume lashes. When getting a classic lash set a 0.15 or 0.20 lash is applied to 1 natural lash. With volume lashes (2 or 3) 0.07 lashes are applied in a fan shape to 1 natural lash.

This is nothing like "cluster" lashes where a chunk of lashes are glued to a bunch of your natural lashes! Cluster lashes are bad for your natural lash and will cause permanent damage.

Volume lashes on the other hand, are actually lighter than classic lashes. 1 (3D) Volume fan weighs less than 1 classic lash. Also, a lot less glue is used during the volume technique so you don't feel any weight on your eyes at all. You just see beautiful fluffy lashes.
